Kayaking and Jumping Off Rock Walls
So we (Bryon, Ross, Brecca, and Myself) all decided to go to Causey Dam, up Weber Canyon and have a fun day in the sun🌞 and water🌊. The weather was perfect for a day on the lake.
We unloaded the 4 kayaks and made our way down the beach⛱; walking was a bit of a challenge due to the thick, gooey mud. When we finally got in the water, we were all smiles😄 and ready for a ton of fun. Then, something happened...😯
Bryon decided to get a little too playful🙃 while trying to splash Brecca a little too hard and tipped his kayak over and dumped himself and all the contents of his boat into the water😰. Haha! We were all dying😂. Bryon, try as he might, couldn't get back into his little ship so Ross jumped out of his kayak to go rescue our friend👬. They swam to the shore and were able to get back into their vehicles and us girls👭, using our brains and the rope I had in my boat, figured out how to pull everything that had been left in the middle of the lake (us, Ross's kayak and Bryon's oar) to the side.
After that little incident, it was a calm afternoon spent rowing down the river🏞, jumping off 10' and 20' rocks🏔 (scored at an average of 3.5 out of 5 by the BBRos), swimming🏊 in SUPER cold water and talking and hanging out (with some splashing coming from Bryon and retaliated by Brecca). It was a wonderful day.
Three hours later🕔, we ended our fun on the lake, packed up and drove home. We were covered in dirty, stinky lake water so we all showered🚿, cleaned out the truck, sprayed down the kayaks and then ate delicious hamburgers🍔 with Bryon's family. We definitely have plans to do that trip again soon.
I love all y'all! #StayBeautiful 😙

So, I didn't do any type of review, I just wrote about the trip📝. I think that is what most of the posts I write will be about (and will hopefully include a few pictures😎). If you do, however, have questions❔ about location, food, gear, travel, etc., please feel free to ask in the comments and the BBROs will do our best to answer🗯.

Quick Backpacking trip and equipment review
Hey Ya'll,
Ross and Myself did a quick one night backpacking trip to test out some of our equipment. Lets start with the location, then I will get into my equipment reviews. I'll be reviewing food and backpack.
LOCATION:
We decided to go up to Adams Canyon in Layton, UT. The hike is fairly easy the most difficult part of the whole ordeal is the switch backs at the very beginning and to be honest they aren't terrible by any means. The hike is one you can do in less than 3 hours and it's gorgeous. At about the 2 mile point there is a waterfall that is a must see if you are in the area.
For our trip we only went about a mile in and found a good spot to set up camp. It was just off the trail, so we did have people walking by for most of the day and a few hours at night. I was woken up at about 0600 by a few hikers but that's something you expect being next to the trail.
FOOD:
Now on to the food we ate. This is a good opportunity for me to remind everyone that utensils are a great thing to remember to pack. Ross and I found ourselves ill prepared in this department but made due with what we had.
We decided to go with Mountain House freeze dried foods, now this is one of our favorite easy to make camping foods. So far out of all the ones I have tried there has only been 1 I don't recommend (eggs and bacon) but they are filling and very easy to make just add boiling water let sit and eat. Our personal favorites thus far are Beef Stroganoff and Lasagna just something to consider.
BACKPACK:
Here is my favorite part review of my new backpack. On a side note I'm pretty sure that Cabela's will be discontinuing this backpack but there will be others that should be similar in style.
I own the Cabela's XPG 70 L pack. This pack is by far the most comfortable pack I have worn to date. The pack weighs just 4 pounds 12 ounces and has the capacity to hold a load of 60 pounds. The suspension is amazing. An adjustable suspension system made of twin 24" inch aluminum stays transfers the weight of the pack to the removable waist belt for an amazing climbing support. The waist belt is far more comfortable than I had expected. The 9mm load balance bar shifts the center of gravity forward which allows you to walk more upright while hiking. With two side pockets for storing ease of access small items. The XPG has a pouch inside the main pocket that easily holds a 3L Camelback and has a small opening to the house over your right shoulder. As well as one water bottle pouch on each side makes getting a drink simple without stopping. This pack comes with a rain cover for your pack in case of a down pour but the pack comes with a durable polyurethane coating that seals out moisture to keep your gear dry. The adjustable shoulder harnesses were surprisingly easy to adjust while on the move.
So this is normally where this awesome closing to the article goes, you could say a synopsis. The quickest and most honest way of saying it is I strongly recommend the products we decided to use. I love the XPG. The meals hit the spot and aren't bad for Freeze Dried food. Also something to note the XPG appears to be getting cancelled but I guarantee they will be releasing a similar pack.
I'd like to take the time here to thank all my fellow writters: Ross, Liv and Braedyn. Keep looking for their posts. Most importantly I want to thank all my readers without you guys this is just another boring old post lost in the internet. Keep on keeping on!! and YEE YEE everyday.

Welcome
Hey Ya'll,
Welcome to our blog. Just as a first initial post I wanted to explain what you can expect from us on here. We commonly go on trips around Utah with plans to do even more in other states. We will be talking about those trips, posting pictures, as well as making recommendations of many things. Some of the things we will cover will be from Gear, to Places to travel, to must stop and see places.
We will also be sharing our opinions, and really just about whatever we feel like sharing.
We at Country Bro's are here to create interest, expand knowledge and answer questions in regards to Outdoor living and travel.
Until the next post Ya'll have a fantastic day.
